2017 Golf Alltrack

In the process of buying from a relative. I am taking care of some issues prior to making the deal. Had the panoramic sunroof recall completed this week and after two days of rain I didn't see any leak. It warmed up a bit and I noticed the AC wasn't getting cold. My son-in-law put some gauges on and found the Freon level to be very low suggesting a leak in the system. Mileage is 62k. I'm not seeing any other AC discussions. I don't see any evidence of collision or damage to the system. Has anyone else experienced a refrigerant leak on one of these models and if so, what was the source? Thanks.
