After engine shutdown

So...I drove to the airport today and parked in the hanger to work on my motorcycle for those last few rides of he season.

I noted with all the doors closed in the hanger, that something was still "on" under the hood or something. Is it the turbo that is still winding down and an oil pump lubing the bearings or something? It only seemed to be on for a short time before turning off, I had noted it before but never paid much attention to it.

You are hearing the water pump that cools down the turbo.

Thanks....I sort of wondered if it had something to do with the turbo, and would explain why turbo failures are much less than they used to be. I heard this noise the first time I brought the vehicle home, and had been on the highway using some boost. I thought maybe the computer powered on for a minute after shutdown for????, but it sounds like the water pump for the turbo is what this noise is.

Must have a temperature sensor on it somewhere?
