Has anyone installed a trailer wiring harness? Installers are recommending sensored wiring harness rather than spliced. Much more expensive to buy. Will the traditional spliced in harness work like any other car or are there limitations due to LED lights, wire size or other. Thanks.

As an update I spent the extra $ on the Tekonsha sensor kit. Very easy to install and works fine. Best price I found in Canada was at Canadian Tire. Ran the power wire through the side trim along the left rear door and seat, under the sill trim (carpet side) to the firewall, then through an existing grommet which I punched a small hole in with an awl. Taped the wire to the end of a narrow screw driver to poke through the new hole, while a friend reached under the master cylinder to grab the end.

What did you buy for a trailer hitch?
