I'm desperately interested in modifying my infotainment system so I don't have to pull over to the side of the road just to change the EQ on my media. I've been looking into OBD devices (esp. OBDeleven) and was wondering if anyone else here has any knowledge about either the OBD devices themselves or about disabling the safety features of the infotainment system?

If you have VCDS, go to 5F, I think it's security code 31347, search for 'FB_' (there will be 42 items) and unlock any and all that you need. Worked great, I did all of them...

Thank you! I'm new to OBD devices but good to know that ability to de-safety-ize the lame infotainment feature is possible!

Can you recommend a VCDS tool? I actually ordered one from Total Car Diagnostics and asked specifically about my 2019 Alltrack and they said it wouldn’t work to unblock the menu restrictions, so they refunded me and didn’t send it. I know others have done it on 2017 etc, so I’m hoping they were just mistaken there.

I only have experience with VCDS (Ross-Tech), I never used another tool and purchased this one after doing a lot of research. I have been using their tools for years with my previous Audi, and have always been very happy. I bought the unlimited version, it's expensive, but they have cheaper choices if you just want the limited VIN version...

Have you contacted Deutsche Auto Parts? They should be able to tell you if the OBDeleven will do it, I believe the "pro" version has long coding. OBDeleven sounded good but I have Apple IOS and some of the "features" are" in development" and have been for quite awhile now, plus it requires IOS 11 and I'm running IOS 10. OR Requires Android 5

I have the OBD 11 Pro series and it’s under the one click apps you just have to go through and on click the while in motion settings and you’ll be good to go!
