New member in Portland; DIY maintenance tracker?

Greetings, all.
We are loving our 2018 SE 6MT.

I do most of the basic maintenance for our vehicles; just did the first oil change. Man, did they do it right with the filter location....
Other marques seem to have owner websites that allow tracking for maintenance not performed by the dealership. I can't seem
to find such a thing for VW. Is that a component of Car-Net? We didn't sign up/pay for car-net as I don't imagine most of the features
would appeal to us.

I'd just set up an Excel spreadsheet to track it. You're owners/maintenance manual has a section in the back that you can use to track it as well. I let our car-net expire as it seemed a bit overkill and don't yet, one more thing to track.

The myCARFAX and SimplyAuto apps are pretty good for tracking maintenance.
