I read on Automobilemag.com "VW is not as keen to mention that while the Outback is built to tow up to 2,700 lb with a 200-lb trailer tongue weight, the Alltrack can only tow up to 1,500 lb and doing so invalidates the car’s warranty."

<<< New member, so forgive me if I've missed a previous thread.
Does anyone know any shops in the Toronto area that have a solution to install a 2" receiver without cutting the rear bumper? I've seen lots of 1.25" options, but all the 2" ones seem to require a cut. If I have to I will, but rather cover all the bases first.

Where did you find 1.25" hitch that didn't require cutting the bumper cover?

Thanks.

My Owner's manual says very clearly: Towing voids the warranty.
