detail package and salt stains

VW dealership wanted to ding me extra to clean salt stains even though I ordered the gold package detail. they claim that the detail package won't remove it - although in the past on other cars the dealership said the gold package would remove them. anyone have any guidance on how to remove remaining salt stains on my own?
