Mystery compartment

Mystery to me at least!

Anyone here know what this compartment in lift gate is for?

At first with the icon on it, I guessed it's for the emergency lift gate release.
But unless you have some type of tool it doesn't lead to any thing I can see.

There are clips on the cover that look as if to hold something. Then the length of the molded cutout in the tailgate trim. Leads me to think for storage of something
Thought maybe a roadside reflective marker, but the one that comes with kit doesn't fit.

Duh, forgot to attach photos to first post, added now.
But RL knew what I was asking, Thanks!

So does that come with certain trims? or other markets?
The one I have with kit is different, not fit

You have to purchase the triangle separately. I got mine at shopdap.com.

That compartment is also for opening the rear latch manually from the inside. I think you use your key? I saw a video of it at one of the European or Australian Alltack websites.

Looks like ECS also carries the fold up triangles that go there. I like to keep an emergency umbrella there myself.
